Class Time: 40 minutes per class
Duration: Once per week over 4 weeks
Ages: 8-12 year olds
Class Size: 4-6 learners per class
Cost: $79 for the 4 week class
About the Class:
In this awesome four-week math class, students will have the opportunity to explore long division using three different methods as an alternative to traditional division, while also learning the traditional method. The class will involve fun discussions, concept demonstrations, group activities, and individual practice. It’s great if students have a good grasp of basic multiplication, addition, and subtraction. If multiplication recall is a bit tricky, no worries! Students can use a multiplication chart to make things easier. Homework will come in the form of a worksheet or online practice, and it should only take 20-30 minutes for each lesson. Completing the homework is totally up to the student/parent, so it’s all about finding a pace that works for you!
Class Format:
Our live weekly class meetings will be held via Zoom. Students will access their lessons, print worksheets, submit assignments, join discussions, and view their feedback through our classroom platform, Canvas.
I strive to keep our class sizes small so we will have between 4-6 learners in class. This is a good number for student interaction:)
Weekly Breakdown:

2: Partial Quotients Method
3: Grid Method
