My Journey as an Educator
I have been working with students in either a tutoring or teaching capacity since 2001. I absolutely love teaching and finding new ways for my students to learn. I have taught all elementary and middle school grade levels as either a teacher or a tutor which has given me a wide variety of experiences.
My Desire to Do More
Although I loved being a classroom teacher, after 20 + years, I found myself in need of a change. I wanted to take my teaching experience to a new level while having a wider reach and Unlocking Potential Educational Services was born.
A Leap of Confidence
Unlocking Potential Educational Services, LLC was founded in 2016. Since 2016, I have had the privilege of customizing, creating, and teaching classes in math, reading, and writing to small groups of students and learning pods, providing one on one customized tutoring sessions, and offering independent study courses. I am passionate about teaching and tutoring multiple grade levels and I love finding new and creative ways to help my students learn. One of my new found passions is multi-sensory math instruction. I am a life long learner so I am always on the lookout for opportunities to grow so that I can reach more students in positive ways.
