Cost: $325 for 8 thirty minute tutoring sessions
This tutoring package offers personalized, targeted one-on-one tutoring for elementary or middle school math topics at the parent’s request. I can provide tutoring for any elementary math concept, as well as middle school pre-algebra and beginning algebra concepts. However, I am unable to help with middle school geometry. I will tailor our math lessons to meet your child’s specific needs. Math can be challenging for students, especially with the emphasis on explaining their thinking. I enjoy discovering new and creative methods to help students build confidence in their math skills. Students will need paper and a pencil for this class. While I will not assign homework, students are welcome to bring their homework to class. After signing up, please email me to let me know what you would like your child to work on. It is important for me to know what you would like us to work on at least 24 hours before meeting with your child, so I can plan for our session. I firmly believe that everyone can excel in math; sometimes it just requires a different approach. My objective is to align your child’s learning style with our tutoring sessions to ensure success. I also understand how frustrating math can be, as I struggled with it as a child until I had a teacher who was able to explain things to me in a different way. 🙂
